Why Dental Bridges Aren’t Always the Best Option
Before dental implants became the standard of care, bridges were the main way to replace a single missing tooth. To hold a bridge in place, the neighboring healthy teeth must be ground down to act as anchors for the false tooth in between. This process permanently alters otherwise healthy teeth and can make them more prone to future decay or failure.
